Digipak analyasis

The Saturdays digipak analyasis

This is the digipak cover for The saturdays album Headlines. As the genre of the satrdauys is pop this photo fits very well, its very colourfull and bold and really stands out. The bright blue background has the saturdays logo over the top of it in a similar contrasting colour. The saturdays logo is used on all there promotional products and other C.D's this helps create a reconisable saturdays brand. Across the centure is multi coloured chairs that the band members are sitting on, pop music is often known to be colourfull and cheesy and this really helps show that. The girls are sitting on the chairs with there outfits clearly on show, this will appeal to the bands fan base as they will be looking to see what they are wearing so they can copy them for there own style. The saturdays are style icons so having there shoes and legs obviously on show helps promote them as being a stylish band. The legs being on show will also appeal to the male fan base as it shows a sexy side to the bad aswell. The girls are holding up double paged magazines with the words of the album name across them, this is a good way of showing the name of the album without making it too obvious. The girls all have there hair nicely done in there own destinct individual style, this is what the fans will expect and makes each member of the band easy to pick out.

This is the back cover of the digipak, its reletaively plain but shows the neccacary information. The bight purple colour contrasts well with the front cover as the bight colours are continued though the album creating a hosue style of the C.D. The track list is in the same lit up font as the saturdays logo on the front cover, this makes the digipak look proffessional as the font is carried on from the front. The track list is centred, this looks better than if it was right to the side. The barcode is streched in the middle and long the bottom right underneith the track list along with the small information udnerneith. this looks neat as evetything is in line with eachother.

Inside the booklet of the digipak the colorful theme is carried though from the front. On each page there is a single colored background with a black and white photo of one of the band members, with a giant letter that there name begins with. This particular page is of molly king, a band member. The bright yellow makes the black and white image stand out well. On the opposite side there is a all black page filled with lyrics of two of there songs, fans of the band will enjoy this as they can learn the words of there favorite songs. The plainness of this page contrasts well with the colorfulness of the opposite page and makes the lyrics easy to read.
